It is almost time for the 2012 Superbowl between the New England Patriots and the New York Giants. Since my local team, The New Orleans Saints (sniff sniff) did not make it, I have to cheer for my true home team, the New England Patriots. COL Gregory (Greg) Gadson, who lost his legs in Iraq (though you would never know it), is actually a Giants “teammate” (so to speak). He even proudly wears his own Giants Superbowl ring. Recent articles written about his relationship with the Giants here and here. Greg and I were hoping the Saints and Giants would make it to the Superbowl as he would have to come to New Orleans, but no such luck this year.

Greg truly inspires me and everyone who he comes in contact with…he just has that magic. I have confidence that if anyone can get the Giants motivated to win, he can. If the Saints were smart, they would steal him away next season…or heck…the Patriots could try and woo him now! And for the record…I do not follow sports stats much at all, but if it were me, I would bet on the Giants to win (I’m going to catch hell from hubby for this) as Greg is on a roll and could pull off the ultimate hat-trick this year. With the release of the upcoming movie Battleship (yep, he is in it), his upcoming command of Ft. Belvoir garrison in July (still active duty), the win would seal the deal (though just making it to the Superbowl seems like more than enough). Geaux Patriots!

***Hey Greg, Brett (hubby) would like to put a little wager on the game with you. If the Pats pull it off, we will send you a delicious King Cake. You on?
